Moon and Jon’s iconic Monet-inspired pastel wedding has officially been featured on Style Me Pretty!

UK Destination Wedding in The Cotswolds

A destination wedding here in the UK, inspired by Monet’s art and bursting with colour, texture, and romance. From pastel-perfect florals to Moon’s bold yellow bouquet that completely stole the show. A modern spin on English countryside wedding design, with the prettiest colourful florals. If you’re dreaming of a Cotswolds wedding that feels like stepping into a painting, you’ll want to take in every detail of this joyful celebration.

Some weddings just feel like art brought to life, and this Cotswolds wedding was exactly that. Inspired by the dreamy brushstrokes of Claude Monet, Moon and Jon’s spring wedding at Hyde House was a vibrant, romantic, and joy-filled homage to art, nature, and love. A weekend-long celebration in the English countryside, it was all about colour, creativity, and those unforgettable guest experiences that make destination weddings so special.

Hyde House in The Cotswolds

Hyde House is one of those venues that just makes sense for a weekend-long wedding celebration. It’s elegant yet relaxed, stylish yet warm. A great venue for couples who want to add their own personality and creativity to their day. With its charming country house accommodation, guests can stay on-site for the full weekend.

The venue itself is designed with weddings in mind, from its bright and airy barns to its stunning outdoor ceremony spaces surrounded by English countryside views. Combine that with the Cotswolds location, a dream spot for those wanting a romantic escape that feels worlds away, while still being easy for international guests to reach.

Pastel Wedding Colour Palette

The floral design was at the heart of this celebration. With colour, texture and seasonality into every detail. Roses, stocks, dahlias, and a curated mix of delicate spring blooms, all in season. Lilacs and purples were the key colours within this colourful palette, layered in every shade from soft lavender to deeper violets.

Dreamy pastel blues added a gentle contrast, while buttery yellows and hints of blush pink kept the look fresh and uplifting. Every arrangement, from the statement ceremony arch to the smallest bud vase, was designed to feel organic and garden-inspired. As though the flowers had been gathered straight from an English meadow in full spring bloom.

Wedding Party, When Fashion Meets Florals

Our bride carried a statement wild yellow bridal bouquet. A bold and organic creation that added a joyful pop of colour against her blue ruffled Milla bridal Dress. One of our favourite bridal designers. A daring, romantic and utterly unforgettable bridal look.

Her bridesmaids wore gowns in varying shades of lilac and carried floral baskets brimming with blooms in complementary pastels tones. A modern alternative to traditional bouquets that felt whimsical, trend-forward, and perfect for spring. Together, the bridal party looked cohesive yet effortlessly stylish.

The groomsmen were equally elegant in tailored suits with lilac buttonholes. Jon wore a striking velvet navy tuxedo with a butter-yellow buttonhole matching the bridal bouquet to perfection. A wedding party look that was stylish, chic, cohesive, and perfectly suited to the wedding.

The Ceremony, Romance in the Gardens

Hyde House’s gardens provided a quintessentially English backdrop for Moon and Jon’s ceremony. Guests gathered on the lawns as the couple exchanged vows beneath a floral arch, surrounded by a romantic garden meadow design that lined the aisle. The prettiest aisle meadows adorned the aisle to create a romantic English setting.

The floral arch wasn’t just for the ceremony, it became a stunning backdrop throughout the day. Guests took full advantage of this colourful floral arch, used as the perfect backdrop.

Because we love making the most of every floral arrangement, the aisle meadow arrangements were repurposed after the ceremony. They framed the top table and added soft, romantic accents to the long dining tables inside, carrying the floral story seamlessly from day to night.

A Reception Filled with Elegance and Detail

Inside Hyde House’s elegant barn ballroom, the reception tables were designed to feel both whimsical and refined. Long banquet tables were dressed in soft white linens with colourful styling details and florals. Woven placemats added a natural, textural base, paired with lilac napkins that tied in beautifully with the bridesmaids’ pastel tones.

The florals were a mix of bud vases, airy meadow pieces, and low bowl arrangements, carefully placed to create movement and depth without ever feeling heavy. Each table felt alive with colour and texture, from soft baby blues to delicate lilacs and dreamy pastel blues. The addition of coloured taper candles, brought a romantic glow and atmosphere.

Every place setting was thoughtfully styled so guests felt welcomed into a design that was artistic and inviting.

Other Floral details
Florals weren’t just for the big installations.

Pretty pops of florals made their way into the smaller and stylish details too. The seating plan was dressed with delicate bud vases, a soft and thoughtful welcome as guests found their places. Our bride, stunned with a floral umbrella. A mix of lilacs and purples flowers that turned a simple accessory into a statement. A trend-setting moment and a personal touch, inspired by Monet Art.

Later, the floral arch set the scene for one of the most iconic moments, the cake cutting. The couple’s wedding cake was beautifully displayed beneath the arch on a sleek acrylic stand, with florals styled inside. It turned the cake-cutting into a dreamy outdoor celebration, drawing everyone back into the gardens.

Romantic English Garden Wedding

This wedding was the perfect blend of romantic English countryside charm and modern, creative design. From the bold yellow bouquet to the bridesmaids’ trendsetting floral baskets and the pastel-drenched tablescapes, every detail reflected Moon and John’s personalities while setting new inspiration for spring weddings to come.

As a Cotswolds wedding florist, weddings like this are the ones we love most! Where flowers aren’t just a backdrop, but part of your wedding story. It was an honour to design for Moon and John’s day at Hyde House, and we can’t wait to see more couples embrace colour, creativity, and romance in this incredible venue.

If you’re planning a UK destination wedding or dreaming of an English countryside wedding in the Cotswolds, Hyde House is a venue worth considering. Elegant, versatile, and endlessly romantic, it’s a setting designed for celebrations that feel both timeless and unforgettable.
