There is just so much to love about this city. The architecture, the history, the food, the art, the theatre and the incredible restaurants. Plus, London is home to so many unique and unusual wedding venues.
As a luxury UK wedding florist, we are incredibly lucky to work across London, creating wedding flowers for couples who want something a little different. Honestly, that's one of our favourite things about London weddings. You're not limited to a traditional hotel ballroom or country houses. You can get married surrounded by fine art, historic architecture or in a former courthouse.
London is also an incredibly easy destination for our American and Canadian couples. With excellent connections from Heathrow, Gatwick and London City Airport, it's a natural starting point for a UK wedding weekend, particularly if your guests want to turn the celebration into a longer trip around England or Europe.
I’ve called the UK home for the past few years. I completely understand the excitement of bringing your family and friends over to experience London, the English countryside, and everything in between.

A London Wedding Venue With Serious Wow Factor
Let's start with one of the most iconic wedding venues in London. The Natural History Museum needs very little introduction. From the incredible Romanesque architecture and soaring arches to the famous Hintze Hall and its enormous blue whale, this London wedding venue makes an entrance before you've even added a single flower.
And that's exactly why we love it.
From a floral design perspective, a venue like this needs a considered approach. The architecture already has so much presence, so rather than trying to compete with it, we'd create wedding flowers that enhance the scale and atmosphere of the space.
For an American couple looking for a truly memorable London wedding venue, this one is hard to beat.
A Little New Orleans in the Heart of London
We're always drawn to wedding venues with personality, and this one certainly has it.
Orleans House Gallery brings a little New Orleans energy to central London. The newly restored Grade I Listed Octagon Room is an effortlessly beautiful setting for an intimate ceremony. Located on the River Thames with surrounding woodland, it’s the kind of setting that feels quintessentially English.
This is the kind of venue where we would have so much fun with the flowers. Rather than creating something overly traditional, we'd take cues from the energy of the space and design wedding flowers that feel just as confident.
And for couples planning a destination wedding in London, we love the idea of using somewhere like this for a welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner or after-party rather than necessarily the main wedding itself.
Art, Architecture & Endless Inspiration
The V&A is one of London's most beautiful museums, so it's no surprise that it makes our list of unique wedding venues.
The South Kensington museum combines incredible galleries, historic architecture and the beautiful John Madejski Garden, creating a setting that feels sophisticated but never predictable. The V&A also offers event spaces at V&A East Storehouse and Young V&A, giving couples even more options for something genuinely different.
We love wedding venues like this because they give us so much to work with creatively. Your floral design could be inspired by the artwork surrounding you, the architecture of the space or even the city itself. Colour becomes particularly exciting here. A bold palette against historic stonework, soft pastel florals alongside intricate architectural details or something completely unexpected would all work beautifully.
Historic London With a Modern, New York Feel
NoMad London is such a good example of why we love the London wedding scene.
Set inside the former Bow Street Magistrates' Court and Police Station opposite the Royal Opera House, the hotel combines historic London architecture with a distinctly modern and artistic feel. NoMad London has 91 bedrooms and 16 suites too, making it particularly appealing for couples wanting accommodation and wedding celebrations all under one roof.
The original Magistrates' Courtroom has been transformed into the Magistrates' Ballroom, while the hotel also offers private dining rooms, bars and beautifully designed spaces for smaller celebrations.
And then there's the location. You're right in Covent Garden, surrounded by restaurants, theatres, galleries and some of the best of central London. For international guests, it's the perfect base for exploring the city before and after the wedding.
From a floral perspective, NoMad is incredibly exciting. We would lean into the rich interiors with abundant flowers, sculptural arrangements and layered colour, while allowing the existing design to remain part of the story.
A Historic London Wedding Venue With Character
If you're looking for something genuinely different, The Old Sessions House in Clerkenwell is one to add to your venue wishlist.
This Grade II* listed former courthouse dates back to the late 18th century and sits overlooking Clerkenwell Green. It's full of architectural character and offers a collection of rooms, each with its own personality. The current wedding offering allows couples to take over the entire house, with capacity for up to 120 guests for dinner or 350 for a reception, as well as access to the rooftop pool.
We love the idea of embracing the history here while bringing in something completely modern. With oversized floral arrangements, unexpected colour combinations, candlelight and contemporary tablescapes against the original architecture.
It's exactly the kind of modern blank canvas we love. The character is already there. The flowers simply help transform it into something completely personal.
Old-World London Glamour
Finally, The Wallace Collection.
Located in Marylebone, this is one of those wedding venues that feels like a hidden gem despite being right in the heart of London. The Wallace Collection is licensed for civil ceremonies, so couples can host their ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening celebrations in one incredibly atmospheric setting. The galleries and courtyard can be hired exclusively, creating a wonderfully intimate experience for your guests.
From a floral perspective, this is somewhere we'd keep the design refined but impactful. Classic white flowers, romantic blush tones, rich jewel colours or something a little more unexpected against the historic interiors. The beauty of the Wallace Collection is that your wedding flowers become part of an already incredibly beautiful visual story.

There is a reason London continues to be one of our favourite destinations for weddings.
It offers everything our international couples are looking for. Incredible wedding venues, world-class restaurants, culture, history, art, theatre and some seriously good cocktail bars. Your wedding can become an entire weekend experience, with a welcome dinner in Soho, a wedding in one of London's iconic venues and a relaxed brunch the following morning.
For guests travelling from America or Canada, London is incredibly well connected. Heathrow, Gatwick and London City Airport make arriving in the city straightforward. The UK's rail network makes it easy to continue the adventure into the Cotswolds, Bath, Hampshire or further afield.
